各个国家的后缀都不一样，对于那些比较冷门的国家（比如刚果、也门），他们搞得清楚该用什么后缀吗？

我猜是因为法语影响？就像 Française 一样
加个 l 可能是为了读起来更自然

-i 结尾的多出现于中东、阿拉伯国家的 demonym 里面（Pakistani, Iraqi）

类似的 -ese 通常用于亚洲国家（Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese），也有少数非洲和欧洲国家（Sudanese, Portuguese）
-an 结尾的适用于很多国家，特别是以元音或软音结尾的国家（Mexican, American, Brazilian）
-ish 结尾的主要用于欧洲国家（Scottish, Swedish）
还有个别 -ic 结尾的 :yaoming: 比如说 Icelandic 和 Greenlandic，多用于地理名字（岛屿）

甚至还有用前缀的

Fiji (斐济) → Kaiviti
Tonga (汤加) → Kau-Tonga

不过一般更多用于当地语言，英语里一般叫 Fijian / Tongan

他们搞不清楚，但是他们不需要搞得清楚啊。
口语交流你要+ er 或者nese， 大家聊着聊着都知道你说啥就好了。

没必要钻牛角尖的。 他们发懵你就解释 people from XXX country. 他们知道就会教你，他们不知道就会跟你一起这么说。

想了一下，发现我即使对这个主题比较感兴趣，见的也挺多，还是有很多国家不知道怎么说的。

比如：

沙特
马尔代夫
伯利兹
科索沃
阿塞拜疆

另外塞尔维亚也不确定用Serb还是Serbian
