纸邮地址留美国地址代收可以吗？觉得方便一些，但是会触发IRS special rule如下。这个会导致tax withholding吗？
Special Attention for U.S. Addresses
Important Information about Tax Withholding on Your Schwab Account
Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations currently require Schwab, as your custodian, to secure additional documentation from foreign clients that disclose U.S. addresses which are any U.S. addresses in the following contexts:
- U.S. address used as your mailing, business or alternate address
- U.S. mailing address used to receive correspondence from Schwab (for example, account statements, trade confirmations, etc.)
- U.S. (mailing, legal, alternate or business) address used in any other context with your account
Please note: If the address noted on your account is outside the U.S., but you have instructed Schwab to forward any account-related information to another party (for example, a bank, CPA, relative, tax accountant, etc.) with a U.S. address, you (the account holder) are subject to this IRS rule.

为啥必须中国？这个和账户地址不一样吧。
schwab基本不批这种（偶尔有批的也许审核的人不同）。 有问题可以问schwab CEO看看为啥。
另外，别的一些券商根本不批国际账号。 都是人家自己公司规定。
邮寄地址在美国你需要提交说明信，否则按30%费率收股息。
上个月刚刚办过，可以分享一些信息：
- 就算有SSN也可以不提交，就说自己是外国人提供护照就行
- （地址证明）水电账单中文的就行，Schwab会去翻译，但是处理时间会长一些。
- 第三个问题实际上和是不是国际账户没有什么关系，建议上网查一下然后选择合适自己的。
不建议在国际账户用美国地址，如果你是想在美国帮亲戚操作的话可以考虑 Account Access (with Limited Trading Authority or Full Trading Authority), 或者代理人(POA）。 后者的授权协议需要notary，有一方在国内可能会麻烦一些。

已经提交了中文水电账单，账户号给了，可以登录，但是仍然受限制。所以还需要Schwab翻译后才能正式批准？
帮他们操作一定要申请这个Account Access或代理人（power of attorney?)吗？直接登录不行么？

我当时等批准（账户受限制）等了3周，你可以发一封站内信催一下。
申请Account Access你就可以打电话联系客服了，不然客服会拒绝提供账户的信息。
我没有试过假装account owner，不知道那样有没有法律风险，但强烈不建议。
你是担心申请Account Access或者POA会有额外的税务问题吗？
