超售自愿改签获得GC补偿全过程

背景简介

之前遇到过一次DL domestic flight超售，但因为工作原因遗憾地错过了

DL domestic航班超售补偿$1500 GC？！［投票］

今早Delta BOS-RDU 航班超售了，寻找志愿者“whose plans are extremely flexible"，并提供以下： $1500 gc（Amazon, Target, visa/MasterCard/Amex 多选一） 免费改签当晚7：30的DL航班 Meal voucher (“all day”) Domestic航班这种力度的补偿常见吗？还是因为最近大范围延误取消…

这次又遇到了DL domestic flight 而且条件允许，所以虽然金额不如上次，还是决定接受并好好记录一下。（发帖前大概搜了一下坛里好像还没有这样的分享）

机场过程

Delta Gate Agent (GA): “The flight is oversold, I need 3 volunteers to be rebooked to a later flight. Volunteers will receive a $500 giftcard of your choice” (后面加到$600，下面详述）

听到所有的关键词后，立刻站到柜台前，前面有1人（离得更近+动作更快），后面有1人

知识点1：如果对行程时间不敏感、对改签补偿有兴趣，在休息室吃饱喝足后，来到一个离柜台近的地方等登机可以增加成功几率

Gate Agent 会简单记录名字和本航班座位号，告知改签的航班信息并确认GC是“至少”$500，然后让volunteers 坐在离柜台较近的地方等候。总的原则是First come first serve - 先来先得

知识点2：在记录volunteer座位号以后，GA需要先完成flight paperwork、给standby passenger assign seat、所有乘客登机等等繁杂的工作，然后才会处理补偿，千万别走远，因为情况还会变化

当GA正在处理standby时候，排在我后面（第3位）志愿者突然变卦反悔，撤回了自己的信息；这迫使GA 再一次广播寻找志愿者，并将GC金额提升到$600。 这时有几位乘客(n>3)站了出来表示愿意，他们依次记录了信息。 最终他们中排第二的志愿者成功入围（因为第一名听说不是check是GC退出队列）。

知识点3：即使已经volunteer，仍然可以反悔；第二轮及后来的志愿者机会将取决于很多不确定因素，并不是登记了就一定有奖励。排位很重要，GA会按照先来后到处理

知识点3.5：虽然“我愿意”时的补偿是$500，但因为后来的变化涨到$600，被动获益了；所以也许说愿意要趁早，因为如果心理期望太高，排的会很靠后，成功率也会大幅降低；相反趁早上船并没有太多风险或损失，因为补偿涨会retroactively apply到之前的人身上，躺赢

所有登机结束，GA终于开始处理补偿。（这里并没有按照任何顺序）3位志愿者一一到柜台手写提供姓名、电话、和email地址。GA输入电脑后会把屏幕里输入的信息给你检查，一定要注意电子邮件的拼写（特别是1、小写l、大写I；大写O、数字0 等等），因为补偿GC是通过email 发的。等确认完毕GA当场点击发送，当场就会收到。如果没收到，大概率填错了、或者进了垃圾邮箱。

然后GA会给一张新的登机牌，显示seat to be assigned at gate，和compensation for denied boarding terms and conditions (6张登机牌大小的纸）。

这张新登机牌好像记得乘机人amex plat持卡人身份，是不影响进delta club的。好奇查了下仓位，原本预定仓位是L (basic economy aka la guabi) 变成了Y。

知识点4：新登机牌的6位数Confirmation number 会和原来的不同，claim GC时要靠这个新的 PNR（当然在receipt里还是可以查到就是），而不是原本的预定确认码

从邮件里点进去，第一步是填入新登机牌的6位确认码，这里就不单独贴图了，只需要注意跟原本的不同就行

这里感觉并不是实时汇率，也许有薅点，但怕麻烦选了USD

但是我看还就是顺序来算啊
除非排在前面的自动弃权
比如第一次排队的第三名，和第二次排队的第一名

后面涨了也有你的份
