State tax return situations we support
You can e-file your state tax return with Cash App Taxes if your situation meets all of the below criteria:
- You need to file a state return this year and it’s for one of the 40 states we support or the District of Columbia: See the full list of states we support here.
- You are also e-filing your Federal return with Cash App Taxes. You must file your Federal return with Cash App Taxes before you can file your state return with us.
- You—and your spouse if you’re married filing jointly—lived and earned income in only one state for the entire tax year and only need to file taxes in one state for the year.
