Already Enrolled (Gold及以上)
- BoA app 主界面点击My Rewards
- 点击Preferred Rewards (没有的话，参考下面Not Enrolled方法)
- 可以看到3-month average balance的数字 (每月6号更新)
Not Enrolled in Preferred Rewards (白板及以上)
- 打开BoA app，找到人工智障Erica
- 输入preferred，会给出很多选项
- 点击 (不要自己输入!) Am I eligible for Preferred Rewards
- Erica会给出3-month average balance的数字以及进度条
Preferred Rewards 基础知识
推荐姿势
- BoA Preferred Rewards带来的最大好处就是信用卡奖励加成 (以及见砖下卡?)，仅需$100K达到PH级别即可获取75%信用卡加成，实现BoA 123 5.25%返现，Premium 旅行吃饭3.5x点数等。
- Balance requirement会考虑所有qualifying account的余额总和，包括BoA的现金存款，Merill，trust accounts等。
- 如果担心在BoA存款利率低，可以考虑将资金 (或VOO) 存入Merill Edge账户。ME的cash management solution中提供preferred deposit (FDIC insured)，正好也是$100K起存，目前APY 4.71%，同时可以叠加下面的Merill 最高$1000开户奖励 (存$100k能拿到$400)

Merill $1000的offer里面规定: 开户90天时必须enrolled in preferred rewards才能拿到高一档的奖励，否则只能拿更挫的奖励，因此楼主在研究如何保证90天搞定preferred rewards。
You must be enrolled in Preferred Rewards as of 90 days from meeting the funding criteria.
Customers not enrolled in Preferred Rewards as of 90 days after funding will receive the following cash reward: qualifying net new assets of $20,000 to $49,999 receive $100; for $50,000-$99,999, receive $150; for $100,000-$249,999, receive $250; for $250,000 or more, receive $600.
Preferred Rewards
要想拿到preferred rewards status，前提是得有一个BoA checking，楼主已经有很久了。根据条款需要three month combined average daily balance (Merill+BoA) 至少超过$20k。那可不可以更快的拿到status呢
Preferred Rewards Program Eligibility. You can enroll, and maintain your membership, in the Bank of America Preferred Rewards® program if you have an active, eligible personal checking account with Bank of America® and maintain the balance required for one of the balance tiers. The balance tiers are $20,000 for the Gold tier, $50,000 for the Platinum tier, $100,000 for the Platinum Honors tier, $1,000,000 for the Diamond tier and $10,000,000 for the Diamond Honors tier. Balances include your combined, qualifying Bank of America deposit accounts (such as checking, savings, certificate of deposit) and/or your Merrill investment accounts (such as Cash Management Accounts, 529 Plans). You can satisfy the combined balance requirement for enrollment with either:
- a three-month combined average daily balance in your qualifying deposit and investment accounts, or
- a current combined balance, provided that you enroll at the time you open your first eligible personal checking account and satisfy the balance requirement at the end of at least one day within 30 days of opening that account.
Early Enrollment in Preferred Rewards
两种加速offer：分别针对New BoA Checking Account和New Merill Account。
New BoA Checking Account
在开户时选择加入即可，成功率较高。但楼主已有BoA checking，也不想关了重开。
New BoA Merill Account
Merill $1000条款里给了Early Enrollment，但综合谭里和doc的dp发现ymmv且大概率没戏。如果有成功的谭友欢迎报dp。
Promotional Early Enrollment in Preferred Rewards: When you enroll in the Preferred Rewards $1000 More Cash Offer, you consent to early enrollment in the Preferred Rewards Program. Once you satisfy the funding requirement for the offer, you will be enrolled in Preferred Rewards within 45 days based on your current balances at that time rather than the usual requirement of three-month average combined balances. You also must have or open an eligible Bank of America personal checking Advantage Banking account to be enrolled in Preferred Rewards. All Preferred Rewards benefits available in the tier associated with your combined balance level will be active within 30 days of enrollment.
Status Update Timeline
Update on 9/6: 今天早上打开BoA app发现弹窗升级plat 
直接点击enroll成功加入preferred rewards，app里my rewards里面也出现了preferred rewards。可以确认非early enrollment 3-month combined balance大概率在每月6号更新。
Update on 9/5: 楼主7月在Merill存入了一些钱，就算early enrollment不生效，现在9月份至少也该是gold了吧。系统应该是有个固定的更新时间，tracker现在还在7/31。
