昨天说的那个试药的朋友，去年年中开始做day trade, 因为自己没钱，也做不大。
这次告诉我有银行给他钱2～3万（不是贷款），让他做day trade, 有盈利了给银行10%，亏了算银行的。
当然银行在给钱之前，有个测试，看看水平如何。
银行为什么愿意这么干，感觉没有多大的好处呀

这不是银行，是有专门的网站做这个。有个专业名词，我一时想不起来。

网上搜索prop firms，会有一大堆。

好像测试期间有交易次数要求的，一般人不好过。
如果你仔细看的话，是一种筛选机制，一共有好几轮，每一轮给的资金越来越大，最后选出真有能力的人。
而且你很难全亏完，他用的是机构的那套风控

我也觉得，他也没有啥day trade的经验呀。人家现在Uber Amazon也不做了，每天拿银行的钱做做day trade, 去去健身房。
免费的trader?
你朋友如果能一直进下一轮的话，最终可以直接加入投行，好的trader的生活基本和你在华尔街之狼里看到的生活差不多
你都不需要有真实的trade，你去开一个paper trading，在里面认真的trade，最终都会有人来找你的。

那就是银行花钱找能人？大部分人最后被淘汰？
那银行不怕大家也是借他的钱练练手？然后自己做，不加入他们？

Gosh, a lot of people don’t realise that most prop trading these days is simulated (“paper”) trading - not real money.
Short answer: most modern prop trading firms make the bulk of their income from selling “funded” account challenges. A trader pays, say, $200 to “trade” what looks like a $50K account. In reality, it’s just paper trading on a simulated platform. When the trader blows the account - which most do - the firm loses nothing and keeps the fee.
If a trader does well, the firm might pay them what looks like a “profit split,” but this usually comes from the pool of fees collected from other traders, not actual market profits. Only a tiny percentage of traders ever get moved onto a real-money account - and even then, it’s often a small test allocation, not the full amount advertised.
That’s why many prop firms are structured and marketed as education or testing companies rather than financial institutions. In some countries, regulators have cracked down on this model, since it blurs the line between trading, gaming, and gambling.
Prop trading is a good idea if you’re running the company. It’s a fascinating concept. Selling the idea of wealth… from a marketing and mathematical perspective, super interesting.

这个说法靠谱，就是赌博平台包装一下，大部分人会赔光。参与的人还以为自己有trader career path

一个好的trader很值钱，而且这玩意有点玄学，不一定面试好的人就行。
然后对于真有能力的人，他希望的资金是越来越多的，最终这种小打小闹满足不了他，他会自己去投行的。
但是，话是这么说，到底有多少人是这个路线出来的，我就不知道了
我记得有花钱买一个模拟仓来trade，如果亏到一个数就结束，赚超过一个threshold就变成真钱然后赚的和券商分成。然后主要是靠收挑战的门票钱赚钱
