Eight suspects have been placed under criminal coercive measures after allegedly throwing hot pot seasoning into a swimming pool in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
Local police said the pool owner, surnamed Zhang, reported the vandalism early Monday morning. Officers arrived at the scene and began investigating.
According to police, the incident was linked to a lease dispute. A property owner surnamed Liu allegedly instructed seven others to pour hot pot base, soy sauce, and other liquids into the tenant’s swimming pool at around 1:13 a.m. before leaving the scene.
Police collected water samples and sent them for professional testing. The results showed no toxic or harmful substances in the pool water.
The case is still under investigation.
