Edge Case: 在OPT Pending期间如果要sevis transfer请在出境前完成

如果你1: 毕业后交了 OPT 2.申请还在 pending 3. 同时又打算放弃opt转去另一所学校读书

千万不要先出境再联系两边学校办 transfer。SEVIS 记录还是 Active 不代表还能转，学校完全可能因为已经不在美国境内而拒绝处理，最后只能走 initial I-20 重开一条记录，-350$

其中感觉比较恶心的点是离境不让transfer这一点似乎是原校自由裁量，官方文件里查不到"人在境外就不办"这条，这估计也是为啥我之前让claude/大豆包规划都没有考虑到这一点的

现在就希望不要影响我的CPT，要重新累积满一学年，明年暑期实习来不来得及都不太知道

有探幽经历过这种情况的吗，要不要去跟本科ISSS沟通下 看看有没有exception

如果一定要重新办一个sevis除了交钱/cpt重新算 还会有其它影响吗 据说如果sevis跟f1上不一样会进小黑屋？

:yaoming:你用你的pending opt i-20入境呗，入境完就能办了
Travel should meet the following requirements:

  • Started and completed before the transfer release date with a current Form I-20 from the transfer-out school
  • Started and completed after the transfer release date with Form I-20 from the transfer-in school

If the student leaves the United States before but cannot return until after the transfer release date, the DSO at the transfer-in school must send the student an updated Initial Form I-20 for re-entry into the United States.

感谢回复 这条路我确实想过，但有一点有点担心，想请教一下：

主要是入境这一块 我的 program end date 和 60 天 grace period 都已经过了，现在支持入境的身份是 pending 的 OPT。这种状态下二次入境，应该要 EAD 卡 + 雇主 offer letter，但是我 EAD 还没批，也没有工作 所以我就有点担心拿着这个pending I20 被拒绝入境
