Starting in September (2022), you can live and work in over 170 countries for up to 90 days a year in each location. Everyone will still need a permanent address for tax and payroll purposes, but we’re excited to give you this level of flexibility. Most companies don’t do this because of the mountain of complexities with taxes, payroll, and time zone availability, but I hope we can open-source a solution so other companies can offer this flexibility as well.
still for most remote workers, they do not want to live in 4-5 countries every year.
maybe a couple outliers are fine with that, but most people, esp those with a family, would not want that.
so it is basically no difference (for most ppl)
ps: 90 days is pretty good for people who only want to travel shortly and return home after short travel.
but it is not enough for people who want to work remotely in china on a permanent basis. (and that is the topic of discussion)
